General information:

For the first time, Stavanger will be the stage for a Nordic philatelic stamp exhibition. Officially, the Federation of Norwegian philatelists will organise the display, while the societies Hafrsfjord, Sandnes and Stavanger will act as technical organizers. The Stavanger region is appointed European Capital of Culture 2008, along with Liverpool. Some illustrations from our local and international cultural heritage are included in this welcome brochure.

Nordia 2008 will be comprised of 1000 frames and all competition classes. During the exhibition, seminars, discourses, special exhibitions, meetings etc. will be held.

Postal administrations and stamp dealers will be present with sales stands. In combination with the exhibition, personalised stamps, mostly in small quantities, will be published. Stavanger has excellent connections both domestic and abroad, which makes travelling simple, be it by airplane, train, boat, bus or car. Necessary arrangements for special prices with some of the city's hotels will be made.

Everybody is warmly welcome to Stavanger and Nordia 2008.

Our address is Nordia 2008, Postboks 604, N-4003 Stavanger, Norway.
